Tribute to T. A. Edison

The work is dedicated to the inventor T. A. Edison, whose company was responsible for the first electric lighting at the Mahen Theatre (current name) in Brno in 1882. The object is formed by four intertwined bulbs, two of which are in the original elongated threaded shape as introduced by Edison and another two bulbs are similar to those the theatre had been equipped with.

The oversized light bulbs are made of a network of interconnected wires, creating a polygonal structure of a 3D network, which makes the object lighter, evokes the complexity of an electrical network and refers to the network as a metaphor for current communication.
